Voice, images and video in NSFW AI chat: which platforms have what

Two different things. Voice messages turn a text reply into audio you can play; almost every companion app offers this on paid plans, with a handful of voices per character. Voice calls are live, two-way conversations with latency low enough to interrupt; only a few platforms do this and it is usually metered by the minute. If voice is the reason you are subscribing, test the specific voice of the character you like: the difference between a good and a bad voice model is bigger than between two text models.

Companion apps generate images of the character you are chatting with, keeping the face consistent across pictures. Library platforms either lack images or generate generic art. Three things decide whether it is worth paying for: consistency (does it still look like the character), control (can you describe the scene) and cost (per-image credits versus a daily cap). Expect image generation to be the main reason for higher tiers.

Short clips of a character, a few seconds long, on a small number of platforms. Quality has improved fast but it is the most expensive feature per use. Treat it as a bonus, not a reason to choose a platform yet.

Our best-of pages list platforms by feature and update automatically from the review data: voice, image generation, video. Each platform review has a features table that says yes, no or not confirmed for every one of these, so you are not guessing from marketing copy.

The platforms with dedicated voice-call features rate highest in reviews for voice, but the best voice for you is the one attached to the character you want, so test it during a trial before paying for a year.

On most platforms, no, or only a few starter credits. Image generation is the most common paid-only feature.

A few do, on their top tiers, with daily limits. See the video list for the current set.
