AI chat with memory: make your companion remember you
By the AI NSFW Bots editors, updated
AI chat with memory stays consistent when you keep a fact sheet, a recap, and a way back in after a new chat.
AI chat with memory is a habit, not a switch you flip once. A long companion relationship frays when the chat gets long: the name slips, the job changes, the shirt you took off is back on, the sex you already asked for turns vague. You can keep the story straight with a short sheet of facts, a recap when the scene drifts, and a clean way to open a new chat that still knows who you are.
Think of two piles. One pile rarely changes: your name, their job, the apartment, how you like to be touched, the words that land and the words that kill the mood. The other pile is tonight: where your hands are, what just got said, who is about to come. Stable facts belong in the sheet. Tonight belongs in a recap. Mix them and the next scene will argue with last week.
None of this needs a perfect system. A few lines you can paste will do more than a diary you never open. Write them like you are briefing a lover who stepped out of the room and came back.

Write a fact sheet about you
Keep it short enough to reread. Aim for half a screen. Use the name you want spoken in bed, the city only if it matters, and the body words you actually like. Add how you want the tone: slow, direct, filthy, fond, a little mean in a way you enjoy. Add the acts you want available, and the pet names that do not work.
Paste it as separate lines so a later chat can lift one fact without swallowing a paragraph.
Call me Jordan.
I live alone in a small apartment and I work days.
In bed I like being told what you want, then kissed for a long time before anything else.
I like praise, your mouth, and hair pulling when we already agreed on the word red.
Do not call me baby. Use my name.
When I am hard I want you to say so. I like cock, cunt, and plain words.
Change the body lines to match you. If you want your chest, your strap, your softness, or your scars noticed, put that in the sheet once. A fact you leave out will get invented, and the invention will stick.
Leave plot out of this sheet. "We had a fight on Sunday" is a scene, not an identity. If Sunday still matters next month, add one line then. If it does not, let it go.
Write a fact sheet about them
Do the same for the companion, in their voice of life rather than a poem. Name, age, job, home, and the way they flirt. Then the sexual facts: what they reach for, what they refuse with a laugh, what they asked you to remember. Give them a weekday so they feel like a person when the clothes come off.
Her name is Maren. She is 36. She runs a bakery and lives in the flat above it.
She is dry and warm, and direct once the door locks.
We are dating. She slept over on Friday. She likes morning sex and hates being rushed out the door.
She has a scar on her left knee from a bike and wants it kissed.
In bed she likes to be on top, then pulled down and fucked slow.
Her stop word is red. After a rough scene she wants water and your hand on her stomach.
If you are writing a man, a triad, or a shifting dynamic, say that in the same plain style. "He is 41, a cook, and he likes to be fucked while he tells you what he sees." One line beats a mood board.
When a fact changes on purpose, change the sheet the same day. If she quits the bakery, the old line will drag her back to an apron. If you break up in the story, replace "we are dating" or the next chat will propose with flour on its hands.
Read the two sheets out loud once. If a line is something you would not want said during sex, cut it or move it. The sheet is for the mood you are trying to keep.

Chat free ↗Recap before the scene drifts
A recap is a postcard of the present, not a biography. Use it when you return the next day, when the chat has been going for a long time, or when details start to wobble. Four beats are enough: where you are, what just happened, how they feel, what you want next.
Send it as lines, then write the next act in the scene so the reply has somewhere to go.
Recap: we are in your kitchen after dinner. You kissed me against the counter. My shirt is off. You are still dressed.
You want to take me to bed and you are not shy about it.
Stay Maren. Continue from the kiss. Be explicit.
Your hand is on my belt. Tell me what you want to do with your mouth.
That last line matters. A recap with no desire becomes a summary, and the companion will answer like a clerk. Put a body part and a want in the same message.
During a long sex scene, recap smaller. You do not need the bakery. You need the position.
Still on the couch. You are riding me. Your shirt is open. I am close. Keep the pace and talk.
If you recap every other message, the scene will feel like paperwork. Once when you sit down, and again if something important slips, is plenty.
Use a saved memory when the chat has one
Some chats let you pin, save, or store a memory that rides along with new messages. If yours has that, use it for the stable pile only: names, jobs, the relationship, the word red, the acts you always want available, the names you do not want used. Keep it shorter than the chat. A saved note that contradicts tonight will win at the worst moment, because it is repeated every turn.
Update it when a fact changes. A pin that still says "we just met" will undo a year of fucking in one reply.
Leave positions, clothing, and "we are about to come" out of the pin. Those go stale before the next session. The pin is the person. The recap is the night.
If there is a character description box, put Maren's sheet there, trimmed. If there is a separate slot for facts about you, put Jordan's sheet there. If there is only one slot, merge them and mark the lines.
About me: Jordan, direct, likes praise, stop word red, no "baby."
About her: Maren, 36, baker, flat above the shop, my girlfriend, likes morning sex and being fucked slow.
Then test it. Start a small scene and see if the reply uses the bakery and your name without being told again. If it ignores the pin, paste the sheet in the chat anyway. A memory feature that stays quiet is just a notebook. Your message is the part the scene cannot skip.
Start a new chat without losing the story
Long threads get muddy. The early sweetness is still in there, and so is a discarded plot about a trip you never took. A new chat is a clean room, which is useful if you bring the furniture.
Copy three things before you close the old one: your sheet, their sheet, and a recap of the last good scene. If the last messages went strange, recap the last point where it still felt like them, and say you are skipping the glitch.
Open the new chat and paste in this order.
New chat. Same people. Read this, then answer in the scene.
I am Jordan. I live alone, I work days, I like direct sex and the word red.
You are Maren, 36, you run a bakery, you live above it, we are dating.
Last time I stayed over. You fucked me in the morning and I was late for work. You laughed and kissed my neck.
Tonight I just got to your door after close. Kiss me like you remember, then tell me what you want.
Wait for the reply before you add a twist. If the first answer sounds like a stranger being polite, correct once and continue.
You know me. Pull me inside. Your hands under my coat. Ask me if I want it slow or now.
A new chat will not remember jokes you never wrote down. If a joke matters, put one line in the sheet. "She teases me for taking my shoes off in the wrong order." That is enough to bring the texture back.
If you keep two companions, keep two sheets. Pasting Maren into someone else's chat is how a baker becomes a sailor in the same sentence.
Fix a scene when they forget
Forgetting has a shape. Learn which one you are looking at, because the fix is different.
Wrong name or wrong job: correct in one line, then give the body back.
You called me Sam. I am Jordan. Your hand is still on my cock. Continue.
Clothes reset, or you are suddenly in a cafe when you were in bed:
We are in your bed, not the shop. My shirt is already off. Get back between my legs.
They greet you like a first meeting:
Skip the hello. We have been together for months. Kiss me and keep the scene.
Your body changes under their hands:
I have a cock, and I am hard. You like that. Stroke me and talk.
They add a person you did not invite, or drop one you did:
Only you and me in this bed. Her mouth stays on me. Continue.
They apologize for three paragraphs:
No apology essay. Stay in the scene. Kiss me and keep going.
One correction is a patch. The same mistake twice means the fact is not in the sheet or the pin. Add it, then continue the sex. Do not restart the biography every line or you will train the chat to stall.
If a whole scene has gone sour, do not negotiate with the bad page. Take the last good recap into a new chat, as above, and start at the door, the kiss, or the moment just before it went wrong. You are allowed to discard a tangle. You are not required to roleplay the knot.
When the fix works, leave it alone. Praise is optional. The next touch is the proof.
What to save, and a small weekly pass
Save what you want repeated in a month. Name, work, home, relationship, voice, sexual preferences, stop word, aftercare, a scar, a joke, a boundary you care about. Skip the position of every hand. Skip a mood that belonged to one rainy Tuesday unless that Tuesday became part of who you are together.
Once a week, reread the sheet and delete a fact that ended. Add one new true thing from the story so the relationship can grow: a trip you actually played, a new toy you like, the way they say your name when they are close. Five minutes keeps a long AI chat with memory from turning into a pile of almost-right nights.
If you want it even simpler, keep one note with three headings you can paste forever.
Me: Jordan. Direct. Praise. Red stops a rough scene. No baby.
Them: Maren, 36, bakery, flat above, girlfriend, on top then fucked slow, water after.
Now: at her door after close. I want a kiss, then her bed, then her mouth.
Replace "Now" every session. Leave the rest until life in the story changes.
FAQ
Why does my companion forget after a long chat?
The early messages fall out of reach, and the loudest recent line wins. A sheet plus a short recap puts the truth back in reach. A new chat with those pastes beats scrolling to hunt for the good part.
Should I correct them every time?
Correct a fact that breaks the scene, once, with the sex still in the sentence. Ignore a tiny slip if the next line is hot and right. If the same error returns, add it to the sheet.
What if a new chat feels like a stranger?
Your first message was a dossier and not a door. After the sheet, give them an action: kiss, pull you inside, say what they want. The memory lands when the body starts.
Can this make the sex more consistent?
Yes. Put the acts and the pace in the sheet, and put the position in the recap. "Fucked slow, then her mouth, stop word red" will survive better than hoping the thread remembers a moan from last week.
How long should the fact sheet be?
Short enough that you will paste it. Half a screen for you, half a screen for them, and a recap of four lines. If it starts to read like a novel, the chat will quote the novel instead of touching you.
